This privately guided day trip features Agrigento, one of the largest archeological sites on the island. One of the main highlights of the tour is a pic nic in an extraodinary garden in the middle of the archaeological treasures

A private day excursion of the famous Valley of the temples in Agrigento . Your driver will be waiting beside where your ship is docked holding a name sign ,so you are able to identify him and will take you with our vehicule . A relaxing drive show us the olive cultivation and fruit fields till we reach Agrigento. On arrival we will start our tour with the Archaeological Museum of San Nicola, a fine introduction to the spendours of ancient Akragas, to get an insight into the life of the ancient settlers. See the collection of Attic pottery found in the area, ex-votoes, figurines, statues and the giant Telamon from the Temple of Zeus. Then we will continue with a visit to the beautiful Valley of the Temples, one of the most representative sites of Greek civilization in the Mediterranean area. Included are, the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Castor and Pollux and the wonderful Temple of Concord.

By mid day we reach the Kolymbetra Garden, an agricultural jewel returned to light after decades of abandon. Archaeological treasures are still being unearthed in this extraordinary garden. There, another English speaking guide will meet us to take us on a tour of this incredible place. This Garden has fruit trees from every part of the world and some of the trees are over 1000 years old! Then surrounded by pomegranate, pistachio, orange and lemon trees and under the Mediterranean sun you will enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch served to you outdoors, complete with local fruit, cheese and wine. This is sure to be a highlight of your trip.
